Violin and Violoncello entrants choose one piece from list printed here and one piece of their choice of a contrasting style, tempo and period. Viola and string bass entrants choose two pieces of contrasting style, tempo and period. See Composer List for period.

This competition is open to students through grade 8 or homeschooled students whose birthdates fall on or after June 1, 2002.
COMPETITION IS LIMITED TO 20 PARTICIPANTS.
Maximum performance time – 10 minutes.
$100 – in each solo division
$400 – the Overall Winner
$150 – the Performance Award Winner
Overall winner and Performance Award winner must play in the Winners’ Concert.
This competition is made possible by a gift from Mr. and Mrs. R. Drake Keith and by the Oklahoma City Orchestra League, Inc. Margaret served numerous times as Vice President for both the Auditions and Education Committees. This competition is designed to encourage younger students to prepare for future competitions.
